Warehouse Facilities and Maintenance Worker (Easton, PA)
Join our Easton, PA team at United Pipe & Steel, a leading master distributor of standard pipe products in the U.S. We are seeking a Cleaner/Maintenance worker who is committed to order and cleanliness in a warehouse facility and who can abide by high standards of safety while supporting the Operations team!
Responsibilities:
- Maintains condition of the warehouse work area, i.e., free of trash, products in the correct location, and organized, swept floors. Ensures all loose debris is picked up in the warehouse including dunnage, banding material, garbage, and anything else that can be picked up via broom or hand. This represents 80%-90% of the duties.
- Ensures all garbage receptacles are emptied as needed for the entire facility – including scrap bins and trash hoppers in the warehouse.
- Ensures all facility bathrooms are clean and stocked with supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
- Ensures office areas and breakrooms are clean, orderly, and stocked with coffee, water, etc.
- Operating and conducting minor maintenance on the Floor Sweeper.
- Follows United Pipe & Steel safety policies.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a distribution warehouse environment
- This position requires considerable physical activity, including standing for prolonged periods, reaching, bending repeatedly, lifting, pushing, and pulling safely up to 50 pounds.
- Be willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which is required in designated areas.
- Some forklift experience is helpful.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
