UPDATE: 9/17/18
United Pipe’s Burlington, NC distribution center is open for business. We will be making deliveries to customers not affected by the hurricane. Please be sure to call your United Pipe representative with any delivery questions in NC and SC: 1-800-777-7473
United Pipe will be donating 2% of all profits now through Friday, September 21st to relief foundations in North and South Carolina to help those affected by Hurricane Florence.
Original Post:
With Hurricane Florence approaching land quickly, United Pipe will be suspending deliveries out of our Burlington, North Carolina distribution center on Thursday, September 13th and Friday, September 14th. It is possible that other distribution centers on the east coast may be impacted by the storm as well, and we will continue to keep you updated on deliveries across the region.
We are doing this out of an abundance of caution, to give our customers who are affected by the severe weather the time they need to make storm preparations, and to keep the roads clear for evacuation and emergency personnel. We will resume deliveries from our Burlington distribution center on Monday, but will be coordinating and rescheduling deliveries for customers who are dealing with post-hurricane effects.
So far, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster has ordered a mandatory evacuation for residents of the South Carolina coast in preparation for Hurricane Florence, with several lanes on major highways being reversed for evacuation.
We wish all of our customers, and everyone in the region impacted by the pending hurricane, a safe weathering of the storm.
Merfish United Will:
- Keep customers affected by the hurricane updated, check back on this page throughout the week
- Take all precautions to keep roads safe and clear for evacuation and emergency personnel in the affected area
- Suspend operations out of our Burlington, NC distribution center on Thursday and Friday
- Resume operations out of our Burlington, NC distribution center on Monday
- Coordinate with customers next week about rescheduling deliveries where necessary
