This past Friday, 4/23, the PVC pipe mills announced another increase which takes effect immediately. The ongoing challenge between tight supply due to the continued high cost of resin, with additional increases announced for May by the four major resin producers, and above-average demand continues to keep PVC and ABS pipe in short supply. Lead times and prices will likely remain high for the balance of the 2nd quarter as mills try to catch up with demand and supply chains recover from disruptions caused by February’s winter storms, and the high cost of domestic trucking freight costs.

With historic price levels of cold roll steel continuing to climb due to high demand and limited supply, strut manufacturers have announced another price increase taking effect on 5/3.
