What’s Happening with Steel Tariffs?
President Trump’s 25% tariffs on imported steel and aluminum will take effect on March 12. The goal of these tariffs is to boost domestic production and investment, reduce dependence on cheap imports, encourage local manufacturing, and free up private capital for sustainable manufacturing upgrades. We are monitoring updates from domestic mills as they become available.
