United Pipe Safety & Delivery Requirements

United Pipe & Steel is committed to safe delivery practices and maintaining United Pipe safety standards across every shipment. With your help, every delivery and pickup can be completed as safely as possible for everyone involved.

When receiving a delivery or picking up from United Pipe & Steel, please follow the safety guidelines below:

Delivery and Unloading Requirements

• Position all trucks on a safe, stable, level surface before removing straps
• Inspect the load for stability before unstrapping any material
• During crane unloads, only the site’s designated crane operator or qualified rigger may rig material on the trailer deck
• All personnel must stay off the trailer and outside the designated fallout zone while material is being moved
• United Pipe & Steel employees may not rig material during crane unloads or operate equipment at the delivery site
• United Pipe & Steel personnel have full authority during loading and unloading, and no activity may proceed without approval
• No one may be on the trailer or within the fallout or active loading zone during loading or unloading
• Share this information with your team

Fallout Zone Requirements

A clear fallout zone must be maintained at all times during delivery and unloading.

• No pedestrian traffic is permitted within the fallout zone
• All personnel must remain outside of the active unloading area
• Fallout zone size is a minimum guideline and may vary based on material size, weight, and height
