Increases 3/22: Globally Sourced Welded Steel Pipe & Strut

The impact on the global supply chain of imported steel pipe continues due to the rising cost of both scrap metal and hot roll coil (HRC), increasing vessel costs and the lack of shipping container availability. These cost pressures, coupled with unusually long delays at ports around the country related to the unloading, sorting and shipping, continue to influence the steel pipe market significantly.

As a result, we are implementing a price increase on globally sourced welded steel pipe on Monday, 3/22 of $100/ton or approximately 7.5%.

We foresee continued supply issues and more increases throughout 2021. Please let us know if you would like to add any members of your team to our email distribution list, and/or have them bookmark the blog on our website and follow our social media pages for alerts like these. We will be releasing a new globally sourced welded steel pipe list price sheet on Monday, 3/22 which allows you to see your individualized prices.

Strut

With global demand high and inventory low, steel prices have been climbing. Because of this, strut manufacturers have announced an increase going into effect on 3/22. A new list price sheet will be released then.
